Critter Ridders Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 06/01/2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to pest control services provided by Critter Ridders. By scheduling, approving, paying for, or receiving services from Critter Ridders, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.
These terms are intended to provide general service expectations, warranty information, client responsibilities, treatment limitations, payment terms, and other important conditions related to Critter Ridders’ services. Specific estimates, service agreements, work orders, or written scopes of work may include additional terms related to a particular service.
Scope of Service
Critter Ridders provides pest control services based on the approved estimate, service agreement, work order, or recurring service plan. Services may include inspections, monitoring, baiting, trapping, insect treatments, rodent control, exclusion recommendations, or other pest management services deemed appropriate by Critter Ridders.
Services are limited to the pests, areas, and structures specifically included in the approved scope of work. Any pest, structure, condition, or service area not specifically included may require a separate evaluation, quote, or service agreement.
Service to Service Warranty
If you discover an infestation of rats, mice, ants, wasps, or hornets in your home or any associated outbuildings during the Warranty Period (details below), Critter Ridders will offer treatment and control services at no additional charge. Please be aware that some pests and situations are excluded (see exclusions below). Infestation management services and treatments may be carried out during regular visits or through separate, special appointments, as deemed appropriate by Critter Ridders, in accordance with industry standards and the guidelines set by relevant government agencies.
Client Responsibilities
The success of an effective pest control program relies on your active participation in addressing or removing conditions that encourage pest infestations. You agree to make every reasonable effort to follow recommendations outlined in the initial critter consultation or separate service visits. Additionally, you accept responsibility for completing necessary repairs promptly to eliminate conditions that support pest activity.
Warranty Terms
The warranty is active from one service to the next and ends upon cancellation of service. If the client requests to skip or postpone a scheduled service, the warranty period will be suspended until regular services resume. Upon resumption, Critter Ridders will inspect for new infestations. If a new infestation is detected, additional services will be charged at the standard rate before the warranty is reinstated for that pest.
The warranty becomes void under the following conditions:
Use of store-bought pesticides or rodenticides at the serviced address during the warranty period.
Interference with, movement, or damage to Critter Ridders' products by anyone at the serviced address.
Feeding wildlife of any kind at the serviced address.
Failure to address conducive conditions identified and recommended for correction by Critter Ridders.
Pest infestations resulting from actions or inactions that allow pest access to the building, such as leaving crawl space, attic, garage, or cubby accesses open; inadequate vegetation control; earth-to-siding or mulch-to-siding contact; or issues related to general disrepair, remodeling, or construction activities. Fauna not specifically included in the service to service warranty above are not covered by this warranty.
Treatment Limitations
The effectiveness of Critter Ridders' treatments is subject to site-specific, structural, and environmental conditions that are beyond our control. These may include, but are not limited to:
Leaking roofs
Cellulose debris
Faulty grade levels
Insufficient ventilation
Inadequate clearance
Earth-to-wood contact
Structure-to-vegetation contact
Faulty gutters, downspouts or drainage lines
Other subarea, attic, interior and/or exterior conditions conducive to infestation or re-infestation
Unless explicitly stated in this agreement, Critter Ridders does not assume responsibility for repairing, correcting, or mitigating such conditions. The Customer agrees to accept sole responsibility for addressing these issues and releases Critter Ridders from any liability, including for re-treatment.
Critter Ridders is not responsible for insect or rodent damage to products or contents on the premises. Additionally, this agreement covers only the pests specified within the service to service warranty. We reserve the right to refuse any requested service that is deemed unsafe, impractical, or unnecessary, without liability.
The Client agrees to hold Critter Ridders harmless for any damage not caused by our negligence and for all structural damage regardless of the cause. Critter Ridders disclaims any liability for special, incidental, or consequential damages. The warranties in this agreement replace all other expressed or implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability. Critter Ridders is not liable for failure to fulfill its obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, pandemics, quarantines, labor disputes, shortages, or similar events. If structural changes or additions alter the area being treated, Critter Ridders may adjust the service charge accordingly.
Access to Service Areas
Clients are responsible for providing reasonable access to the areas necessary for Critter Ridders to perform the scheduled service. This may include exterior areas, garages, crawl spaces, attics, basements, outbuildings, utility areas, fences, gates, and other areas where pest activity may be present.
If service cannot be completed due to locked gates, blocked access, unsafe conditions, pets, tenant refusal, inaccessible crawl spaces or attics, or other circumstances outside of Critter Ridders’ control, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and may still be considered billable.
Pets, Children, and Safety
Clients are responsible for keeping children, pets, livestock, and unauthorized individuals away from treatment areas as instructed by Critter Ridders. Clients agree to follow all safety instructions, preparation instructions, re-entry intervals, product precautions, and post-treatment recommendations provided by Critter Ridders.
Critter Ridders reserves the right to delay, modify, reschedule, or refuse service when conditions are deemed unsafe for employees, clients, occupants, pets, animals, or the public.
Service Recommendations
Critter Ridders may provide recommendations related to sanitation, repairs, exclusion, vegetation control, crawl space conditions, attic conditions, drainage, structural issues, food storage, waste management, or other conducive conditions.
Unless specifically included in a written estimate or approved work order, these recommendations are advisory only and are not included as part of the pest control service. Failure to complete recommended corrective actions may reduce treatment effectiveness and may impact warranty coverage.
Weather, Conditions, and Service Adjustments
Certain services may be affected by weather, environmental conditions, safety concerns, or product label restrictions. Critter Ridders may reschedule, delay, modify, or adjust services when weather or site conditions prevent safe or effective treatment.
Critter Ridders will make reasonable efforts to provide service in accordance with industry standards, product labels, safety requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
Late Payment
A $10.00 late fee will apply to any balances unpaid after 30 days. In cases of non-payment or default, Critter Ridders reserves the right to suspend or terminate all services outlined in this agreement. The Client will also be responsible for any collection costs, including administrative fees, attorney fees, and related expenses, regardless of whether legal action is pursued.
Cancellation or Suspension of Service
Recurring services may be cancelled by the client or Critter Ridders unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement. Once service is cancelled, all service warranties end.
If a client skips, postpones, or delays a scheduled service, the service-to-service warranty may be suspended until regular service resumes. Additional charges may apply if new pest activity is found before the warranty is reinstated.
Right to Refuse Service
Critter Ridders reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service when conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, inaccessible, impractical, outside the company’s service scope, or likely to prevent effective treatment.
Critter Ridders may also refuse service if a client, tenant, occupant, or representative engages in threatening, abusive, harassing, or inappropriate behavior toward Critter Ridders employees or representatives.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain fully effective and enforceable. This Agreement represents the complete understanding between the parties, and no other representations or statements shall be binding on them.
