Rodent Control

Rats and mice can damage your home, contaminate food, and take shelter in crawlspaces, attics, and wall voids. Critter Ridders Pest Control helps homeowners and businesses throughout Kitsap and Jefferson Counties identify rodent activity and address the conditions behind it. Our approach combines thorough inspections, targeted control, entry-point recommendations, and ongoing maintenance tailored to your property.

Norway Rat

Norway Rat - CRPC

Norway rats are large, stocky rats with brownish-gray fur and tails shorter than their head and body combined. They commonly burrow around foundations, retaining walls, and outbuildings, and may enter crawlspaces and basements in search of food and shelter.

Roof Rat

Roof Rat - CRPC

Roof rats are slender rats with pointed noses and tails longer than their head and body combined. Excellent climbers, they often travel through trees and dense vegetation and nest in attics, roof spaces, and other elevated areas.

House Mouse

House Mouse - CRPC

House mice are small, usually gray or brown rodents that readily live inside buildings. They seek food and sheltered nesting areas in kitchens, garages, storage spaces, and wall voids. Droppings, gnaw marks, and damaged food packaging are common signs of activity.

Deer Mouse

Deer Mouse - CRPC

Deer mice have brownish backs, white bellies and feet, large eyes, and a tail that is darker above and lighter underneath. Common around wooded and rural properties, these native mice may enter homes and outbuildings while searching for food and shelter.

Important Safety Note

Deer mice can carry Hantavirus, a rare but potentially fatal respiratory disease transmitted through their droppings, urine, and nesting materials. If you clean up after them, never sweep or vacuum dry droppings; instead, soak them with a disinfectant or bleach solution first.
